After the 1.16.00.402 Radio for the Verizon Thunderbolt was leaked two weeks ago, we saw an official Verizon document outlining a couple of changes the new ROM will bring, especially in the data connectivity department. The update was put on hold and Big Red updated, sort of, on the whole update issue.
Today, what looks to be the official ROM update for the Verizon Thunderbolt has been leaked. The name of the file is: PG05IMG_Mecha_VERIZON_WWE_1.13.605.7_Radio_1.16.00.0402w_1_NV_8k_1.41_9k_1.64_release _182746_signed. This should say something to aficionados but we'll help: the version numbers match those from the Verizon document. Opposed to the Radio previously leaked, version 1.16.00.0402w, the new ROM version numbers are 1.16.00.0402w_1 (and 182727 vs 182746).
Fingers crossed that the roll-out process begins already to fix those connectivity issues. Of course, with the ROM being leaked, the road is clear ahead for tearing apart, extracting goodies, porting, you name it!
