LG Optimus Black To Hit UK Stores Next Week

LG unveiled the Optimus Black Android Smartphone with the occasion of this year's CES back in January -- at that time as the world's thinnest smartphone at its 9.2-millimeter thickness, no longer valid today.

LG's Product Manager for the Optimus Black told Pocket-lint that the smartphone "should be in stores by the end of next week" but there was no word on which carriers would be stocking up on it. Anyways, good news for enthusiasts waiting for the super bright, four-inch, 700 nit NOVA display (IPS).

The LG Optimus Black is lightweight as it measures only 109 grams and packs a TI-OMAP 3630 1 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM, five-megapixel main camera with auto-focus and LED flash, front-facing tw0-megapixel webcam plus all the usual suspects, while running on Android 2.2 Froyo hopefully upgradable to 2.3 Gingerbread soon.
