Motorola Droid X2 Materials Arriving At Retailers; For Sale Soon?

We recently got a look at the full spec run-down for Motorola's Droid X², rocking a dual-core 1GHz Tegra 2 and equipped with a big 4.3-inch qHD display. This smartphone's been on the cusp of release lately, showing up in Best Buy's computers and mos recently getting a rumored release date of tomorrow, May 12. There's yet to be any confirmation of that claim, though it's looking very possible now, with Costco getting some dummy units ready for its in-store displays.

Like the Trophy dummy units we got to see yesterday, the mere presence of these props doesn't necessarily mean an imminent release is assured, but it's more fuel to the fire, making the case for the rumors we've heard so far. The release might not end up being tomorrow, but if not then, at least within the next couple weeks.

We haven't been able to nail down what Verizon or any of these retailers will be charging for the Droid X², but unless Verizon intends to includes the smartphone with the group making up its LTE models (and their high price tags), around $200 on-contract seems like a safe bet.
