Wanting to find the differences from previous generations, iFixit team first looked at the new nano. Found in flash memory from another manufacturer but with the changed label processor. iPod touch, in general, did not promise anything good, but hope springs eternal
iFixit draw our attention to four differences that are simply worth mentioning:
• Possible upgrade chip for wireless connectivity Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, Murata RV KM1721006;
• A new marking (ogo!) on the processor Apple A4 - VT1K3441AQ against last year's K4X2G643GE;
• A new gyroscope AGD8 2131;
• Chip 2129 33DH next to the gyro, it seems, is mounted on a substrate, like a gyroscope from iPod touch 4th generation.
The only significant innovation for iPod touch - is the availability of the model in white. The question is, why Apple did not start to produce a white front panel before? Excuses about lack of technology will not help, the benefit of white iPad 2 and at least four white iPhone released in the spring.
