Custom ROM For HD7

While many will agree that Windows Phone 7 doesn't really need custom ROMs to make it better (since it's easy to uninstall anything you don't want), a lot of people still enjoy pushing the limits of their smartphones. Today we hear that Ansar of XDA-Developers has created the first custom ROM for the HTC HD7 using the DFT hard SPL tools. The custom ROM doesn't add a huge amount of differentiation, but it does make the device easily upgradable to Mango beta 2 (by plugging it into Zune) and also unlocks the device for use on any network. As of posting, the custom ROM is not currently available for download, but should be available later today. Check out the original thread at XDA-Developers for more info, but...

Understand that anything you do to your smartphone is your own responsibility. Installing a custom ROM can be harmful, void your warranty or even render your smartphone useless.
