SOLUTION for "Phone dead after flash and doesn't turn on, only vibrates once

Your .COO file is corrupt.
Download the whole .exe package from

www.blue-nokia.com (go to the BB5 support

section) and install it in your

computer. Flash with JAF. Everything

will be ok.

Quick guide:

Remove your battery and then put it back into your phone. Don't press the power button. Then connect it to your pc.


run pkey emulator. Youll se an error message. Just press ok. Go to BB5 tab.

Now TICK
1.manual flash
2.dead USB
3. Normal mode
4. UNTICK CRT 308
5. Tick Use ini.

A popup menu will appear. Select your model. Select desired product variant from drop down box.Then press FLASH.
When you hit the FLASH button in JAF, you will be asked to press the power button once. Press it and flashing will start. It takes about 2minutes to flash. When your phone boots up to country selection list, remove cable.

for win7 users, use OGM_JAF_PKEY_Emulator_v 5. works on my win7 pc.

PS. YOU CAN ALSO FLASH CUSTOM FIRMWARES. JUST REPLACE ROFS2 AND ROFS3 FILES IN THE DATA PACKAGE. THE DATA PACKAGE IS IN THIS FOLDER IN WINDOWS 7
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nokia\DataPackage"

do make a backup of the original ROFS2 and ROFS3 files first, just in case you need them later
