Swype Beta 2 Major Changes

Swype Beta 2 Major Changes

One change is in regards to contact names being re-added to the dictionary even if they have been deleted. This version contains a fix that will ensure that the issue does not occur anymore.

The other major change is in response to many people wanting support on devices. Swype Inc. added support for QVGA, WQVGA, WSVGA, and qHD devices, and dictionaries for Dutch, UK English, and Russian as well. There are still problems with certain languages on certain screen-resolutions, so you might need to check on the Swype forums to see if your device will work properly with the Swype beta app.
Prediction accuracy for words has also been fixed in these release so that it does not decrease over usage time anymore. They have completely reworked their algorithm so that it actually becomes more accurate as you use it, which is what should have been happening in the first place anyhow.

They are still asking their beta users to report anymore nuisances in regards to any of the above issues, as well as any others they might be experiencing. The app still isn’t ready for prime time, but this is a major step towards a full release on the Android Market.
